catching up... for now

so, i got bit by a cleaning bug (still in the midst of it, actually) and have been deep cleaning and purging stuff from my house....  which means this project has gotten shoved to the backburner a bit.
i'm still taking photos (although not daily), and will hopefully get back on track in the next couple of weeks after tackling the office/junkroom and laundry room.

until then, here are some of the shots i took through the rest of may:

135: mo' money

another plant that reminds me of my grammie~ she had these growing next to her porch, and i always loved the silvery dry seed pods.  i discovered this one growing at random in the woods near our house.  we may try to transplant it, or propagate some of the seeds...

Chinese Money Plant, Lunaria annua

[need to ask what this one is again]

Tall Bearded Iris sp.

Clematis sp.

(she is also the one who gave us the variegated periwinkle that has shown up a time or two.)

120/121/122: discoveries

a busy saturday followed by a rained out sunday meant that monday was catch-up day, so you get a triple dose post...

after (finally) pruning back some Nandina, rediscovered these Autumn Joy Sedums that I was sure were long dead.

discovered that these Pleasant White Rhododendron sp. were not actually the same as these...

discovered that Mock Strawberries are growing in the pot with our Bay tree

117: return of happiness

Another specimen from my awesome midwife's yard...  an appropriate choice considering I was there for a postpartum depression follow-up.
